Chamber Music is a series of site-specific sound works, each made entirely from a single recording of the empty space in which they are to be presented. An hour of "silent" room tone is recorded when no people are in the building; that recording is heavily filtered to extract drones made of the room's resonant frequencies, which are the only materials used.

Airforms was made in 2013 as a birthday gift for my friend Steve Roden, intended as a sound installation for his home. He sent me two hours of recorded room tone instead of the one hour I requested. I used the first hour to make a piece entirely of drones, and the second hour to make another piece using only bell-like tones. The two pieces are here merged to create a composite version, and split into two sections to accommodate BandCamp's file size limitations.
