All of this music was either made specifically for various collaborative projects, or eventually found its way into them. (See individual track notes for details.) None of it is much like the work I usually do on my own, but this is why I enjoy working on assignment: externally imposed parameters lead to unexpected results.

I am grateful to my collaborators for putting me and this music to work, and to all of the musicians for their contributions. Thanks also to Noah Creshevsky, Peter Garland, K. Leimer, Annea Lockwood, and Steve Roden for their friendship and encouragement over the years.
