Sight Specifics is a series of sound works originally intended for radio broadcast. People are asked to choose a place they would like to visit, and are then recorded giving a detailed verbal description of that place. Their spoken text is then edited and mixed with field recordings made on-site, some of which may be electronically processed. In some pieces, different people describe the same site at different times.

In these pieces I am not only interested in the ability of sound and language to evoke rich visual imagery, but also in the very individual nature of perception and "reality" - how each of us perceives the world and how we translate and communicate those perceptions to others.
